In the hot summer of 2003, Miriam and I took off from our home base in Providence RI for a six-week tour across the USA. We took the northern route west from Providence across to Seattle, then down the west coast, and the southern route back east. We picked up Christina Carter in Texas and brought her back to RI with us, playing together for the end of that trip. We camped A LOT. Many nights checking into state parks and setting up our tent, then driving into the cities to play the shows before heading back to our campsites. We also had a rule that if we EVER saw a sign for an amusement park or roller coaster, we had to stop and ride the coaster. No matter what. Even if we were late for a sound check or whatever. So many coasters were enjoyed in the summer of 2003, believe it.
Well in the smack middle of that trip, we found ourselves in San Francisco and instead of camping, we stayed a few nights at Glenn Donaldson's apartment in the outer Mission. He joined us in a special trio version of BF/BS for a live session on KFJC (which may be lost forever?) and also this set at Zoe Keating's warehouse/loft space on Natoma St in SOMA
